Statement of Faith

Founded upon the historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

Godsglory Institute of Missions and Biblical Studies (GIMBS) is founded upon the historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. The Institute affirms the following foundational doctrines, which guide its teaching, ministry, and academic programs.

1. The Holy Scriptures

We affirm that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Scriptures are God’s complete revelation to humanity and serve as the final standard for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

We believe that divine inspiration extends to every part of the original biblical manuscripts, making the Scriptures wholly trustworthy and without error in all that they affirm. The Bible is therefore sufficient for teaching, correction, instruction, spiritual growth, and preparation for every good work.

2. The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and the central figure of all Scripture. He is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

We affirm His sinless life, His divine miracles, His sacrificial death on the cross as the atonement for the sins of humanity, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His present ministry at the right hand of God the Father, and His personal, visible, and glorious return to establish His everlasting kingdom.

3. Salvation

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and are unable to attain righteousness through their own efforts. Salvation is made available solely through the grace of God by faith in Jesus Christ.

We affirm that every individual must personally repent of sin, place faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and experience the new birth through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully divine and actively involved in the work of redemption. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, indwells every Christian, and empowers believers to live lives of holiness, obedience, and faithful service.

The Holy Spirit also equips believers with spiritual gifts for ministry and enables them to grow in Christlike character.

5. The Resurrection and Eternal Judgment

We believe in the bodily resurrection of every person. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ shall be raised to everlasting life and eternal fellowship with God, while those who have rejected Him shall face eternal judgment according to God’s righteous justice.

6. The Church

We believe that the universal Church consists of all who have been redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ. Christ alone is the Head of the Church, and every believer is spiritually united with Him as a member of His body.

The Church was inaugurated at Pentecost through the coming of the Holy Spirit and exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples of all nations, nurture believers, and demonstrate Christ’s love through faithful service. Membership in the universal Church is established through faith in Jesus Christ rather than affiliation with any particular denomination or local congregation.

7. Christian Unity

We affirm the spiritual unity of all genuine believers in Jesus Christ. Although Christians may belong to different denominations or traditions, all who confess Christ as Lord and are born again are united as one body under His lordship. This unity is expressed through mutual love, fellowship, cooperation in ministry, and commitment to the truth of God’s Word.

Institutional Commitment

The Statement of Faith serves as the theological foundation of Godsglory Institute of Missions and Biblical Studies. All academic instruction, ministerial training, institutional policies, and community life are intended to reflect these biblical convictions while preparing students for faithful Christian leadership and service throughout the world.
